
Anthony David Gonzalez was born February 27, 1976. He is an American football tight end. He played for 17 years in the National Football League. He is thought to be one of the greatest tight ends in history, and is currently the NFL's most efficient tight end when it comes to receiving yards as well as receptions by tight ends. Gonzalez is also ranked third in total receptions. Gonzalez was drafted in the first round of the Kansas City Chiefs. He played his first 12 seasons playing for the team. In the five seasons that followed in the NFL, he played for the Atlanta Falcons. Gonzalez retired in 2013 and was an analyst in the football league at NFL on Prime Video. He was previously employed by CBS Sports and Fox Sports. Gonzalez also received six first-team All-Pro honors. Gonzalez was known for his toughness and ability to avoid fumbling. He was a part of 272 of the 272 games in the regular season and he only made two fumbles and a total of 1,327 plays. Gonzalez was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in the year 2019.
